I wanted to experiment with an older style of design so went to one of my favourite old classics. The phycadelic 60's. Theres something so raw and wonderful about that style that it stuck with me from when I was younger. So, as a result, I decided to mess around with that style for a made up festival.

Here is my process.

I started by creating a rough sketch of where everything would be placed out, as this was going to be a heavily typographic poster (so planning was essential).

I then re-drew it with the actual text I wanted within the poster.

I then began to retrace this with a fine-liner for a sharper and more defined edge.

Then i scanned it into photoshop where I would add a monochromatic colour scheme into the poster.

Here is my final 1960's style festival poster.
